3. License Grant and Intellectual Property

3.1 User Content. You retain all intellectual property rights in and to the text, images, and other content ("User Content") that you upload to the Service.

3.2 Usage Rights. By uploading or sharing User Content on or through the Service, you hereby grant toTimon Giess - Webservices & Apps a comprehensive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, and otherwise exploit such User Content for any purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Providing, maintaining, and improving the Service;
  • Creating, rendering, and delivering generated videos to you;
  • Marketing, advertising, and promoting TexToTale, including the use of User Content in promotional materials;
  • Training and developing machine learning models (where applicable); and
  • Any other commercial or non-commercial purpose.

You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to grant the license set forth herein, and that the User Content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.

4. Third-Party Services and Data Processing

To provide our Services, we utilize third-party infrastructure providers. We have entered into data processing agreements (Auftragsverarbeitungsverträge) with these providers as required by Art. 28 GDPR.

4.1 Hosting and Frontend (Vercel)

Our website and application are hosted by Vercel Inc. Data collected during your visit may be processed on their servers.

4.2 Database and Authentication (Supabase)

We use Supabase Inc. for database management, user authentication, and storage. Your account data and content are processed through their secure infrastructure.

4.3 Video Rendering (AWS / Remotion)

Video generation is performed using cloud computing resources provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) via Remotion Lambda. Your content is temporarily processed on these servers solely for the purpose of rendering your requested video.

4.4 Payment Processing (Stripe)

For paid services, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card or payment details on our systems; this data is processed directly by Stripe.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data in accordance with applicable regulations, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain information.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access (Art. 15 GDPR): You may request information about the personal data we hold about you.
